Owen

Among my favorite Kevin Henkes' books is Owen, an adorable tale of a boy who is attached to his blanket. It is ideal for a child who has given up an attachment object, or one who needs to make that step.

I love the way Owen jibes parents while making everyone smile at the common challenge of attachment objects. I won't ruin the book for you by quoting the one-liners, but I will say that this Henkes' book passed the test: I laughed out loud the first time I read it (and again subsequent times).
