Being the Family of God

This weekend on our church retreat I glimpsed again how we are called to functionas the family of God. I repeatedly saw married couples without children, and singles caring for the children of the church so that their parents could relax.

When one of the nursery workers had to return early because of a death in the family, several of the people who volunteered to help out in the nursery during the sessions were single, or didn't have children in the nursery.

I love to see us functioning as a family that way!
