Because they were going to fall off

Yesterday Rebecca made sugar cookies. All of them were pumpkin shaped with the exception of one bear shaped one for Elisabeth. I gave it to her as we were headed out the door so that she could eat it in the stroller. On the way down, I noticed that the appendages were missing. She said to me,

I ate his arms and legs because they were going to fall off.
