Excellent literature

I wish that every book I picked off the shelves had the literary and illustrative excellence of Library Lion. The book caught my interest because of its beautiful cover illustration, and the story line only exceeded my expectations.

Inside the dust jacket, the blurb asks,

"Could there ever be a good reason to break the rules? Even in the library?"
The story answers the question brilliantly, and helps children to think about the purpose for rules, the right attitude toward rules, and when there are even times to break the rules.

I highly recommend this book, and am going to check out some others by the same author!

Graham,

We just checked out this book from the library yesterday, and I thought it was great. Zach asked me to read it to him again this morning. For some reason I remembered this as a book you had commented on in a prior blog entry, so I searched and quickly found it here on your old blog. Just wanted to say that we, too, found it to be a well-told (and illustrated!) story with a good lesson.

I hope all is well there with the new baby. Congratulations to your family on this new addition!
