Behaviorism will keep you from making the Gospel central in your correction and discipline. If behavior and behavioral change is your focus, your parenting will emphasize techniques for controlling behavior. I think that Tripp is right; behavior is the tip of the iceberg. Addressing behavior is just melting the top of the iceberg so it doesn't prodtrude above the water . . . for a moment.
