Lychee Jelly
Today at the laundromat, Elisabeth was given Lychee Jelly by the proprietors. They speak almost no English (possibly fewer than 50 words in all) but are wonderfully kind, love Elisabeth and often give her things.
I had never seen Lychee Jelly before, but really liked it. It has the consistency of a stiff jello, with chunks of lychee (which I enjoy) in it. Elisabeth wasn't crazy about it, so I got to finish it!
Is Elisabeth more sensitive to the taste of food or the texture?
It took me quite awhile to discover that when my girl objected to a food it was almost always because of the texture, not the taste. Imgaine my surprise! Kids are so interesting :o)

I'm not sure, because she likes jello (which has the same consistency) and lychees.
ReplyDeleteLychee gummy candy is even better than lychee jelly...

And where can lychee gummy candy be found?
ReplyDeleteMost Chinese or Asian groceries stores sell lychee gummy candies.
ReplyDeleteWe can get lychee gummy candy at World Market, but I don't know if you have one near you.
